Employment Services - Position Descriptions

Business Managers

Ensure MTC standards, processes and quality of service are achieved. Coach staff to achieve their KPI’s/ meet branch financial and performance objectives. This Position would suit an experienced manager with commitment and the ability to assist people towards their employment and personal potential

Employment Consultants

Working with a wide range of diverse job seekers you will identify their strengths and barriers to employment and formulate strategies to increase their employment competitiveness through training, personal development, coaching and work experience. You must be able to work effectively in a team environment and work towards achieving KPI’s.

Specialised Support Employment Consultants

As above, but with a smaller caseload to provide intense assistance to job seekers with additional needs such as drug and alcohol dependency, depression, mental health issues, homelessness and social isolation. Tertiary qualifications in psychology, counselling or social work would be highly regarded for this position.

Work Experience Officers

To build local employer networks and develop an understanding of their recruitment needs so vacancies can be actioned by the local branch network. Provide Work Experience Placements and monitor participants’ effectiveness.

Work Experience Project supervisors

Run work experience projects and employment focused training courses to assist job seekers make the transition to sustainable employment. Previous industry experience and Cert. IV in TAA is desirable.

Self Employment - Mentors

Having proven business acumen and experience in marketing, finance, accounting or other relevant business skills, you will have the capacity to understand and evaluate business concepts and assist job seekers by reviewing and improving their business plans through coaching during the first year. You will also market the New Enterprise Incentive Scheme (NEIS) to Job Services Australia providers.
