MTC Work Solutions (MTC) is an incorporated not-for-profit community-based organisation. As a not-for-profit organisation, all surplus funds generated are reinvested into the community through training, employment and community support initiatives.
MTC is split into four distinct divisions:

- Youth Services
- Community Services
- Training Services - MTC Training Solutions
MTC employees over to 350 staff across Sydney. Following is a list of our Senior Management Team members:

MTC has adopted a Code of Conduct and Privacy Policy which all staff observe to ensure that all dealings are conducted in an ethical and professional manner.
Board of Directors

Mr Serge Derkatch
Over the past 25 years Serge’s specialty has been working as Project/Program Director on complex and large-scale projects and assignments for major Australian and International organisations.
These assignments were critical in setting the direction of organisations such as Lend Lease Corporation, IBM Global Services, MLC, and SITEL Corporation (Japan) and more recently in senior consulting roles for organisations such as. Westpac Bank, Commonwealth Bank of Australia, Combined Communication Network, Foxtel TV, Macquarie Bank, News Limited and Government Organisations.
In 2004 Serge further diversified his career and began working as a Professional Executive Coach, where he was able to draw on his extensive business experience and marry this with his passion of helping and guiding people grow their skills and personal development.
He is also an accomplished University lecturer and facilitator of workshops and seminars conducting many workshops on Leadership, Business Strategy and Project Management for a variety of organisations in many varied industries in both profit and not for profit sectors.
During his career he has held several senior executive positions such as Program & Project Director, CIO and Group Executive. He is currently Chairman of MTC Work Solutions, a medium sized not for profit organisation in Sydney and adviser and director to several private Australian Companies.
Serge lives in Sydney, Australia, is married with four sons and enjoys spending time with his family and friends. He enjoys music, is an active sailor and golfer and also enjoys skiing, tennis and swimming.
Mr Adrian Rees
Adrian is an experienced senior executive and has worked for nearly 30 years in the areas of funds management, finance, superannuation, insurance, customer service, sales and regulation.
Since 2004 he has worked as a prudential supervisor with the Australian Prudential Regulation Authority (APRA). Prior to working at APRA, Adrian spent 2 ½ years working for the Australian Securities & Investments Commission (ASIC) in licensing and regulatory compliance.
Before 2002 Adrian spent a total of 19 years with NRMA as a senior executive, responsible at different times for its investment management, financial services, customer service and sales businesses. He also has several years experience in investment banking.
Adrian holds a Bachelor of Economics degree from Sydney University. He is a member of the Council of Presbyterian Ladies College Sydney and Armidale.
Ms Egle Garrick
Egle is currently Executive Director, Corporate Service of the Sydney Harbour Foreshore Authority. Since joining the Authority in 2003 she has had responsibility for critical areas of the business, including finance, culture and performance, capital works, planning assessment and heritage conservation. She has acted as Chief Executive for the Authority and has been a champion of sustainability projects. She is the first woman to hold executive roles in bus and ferry operations in public transport in Sydney. She has a record of bringing achievement and industrial harmony into difficult organisations. She also has considerable experience as a public speaker.
Egle holds a Master of Science and Society from the University of NSW. She is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and a member of the Advisory Committee of the Bachelor of Planning in the Faculty of the Built Environment a the University of NSW. She is also one of two Sydney Harbour Foreshore Authority CEDA (Committee of Economic Development of Australia) Trustees, and a non-executive board member of the Australasian urban planning association, the Place Leaders Association.
Dr Kerry Keogh
Kerry brings with him over 30 years of senior level public and private sector experience both in Australia and overseas. Currently Kerry provides executive coaching and consultancy services as a corporate advisor to the private and public sectors specialising in acquisitions, strategic direction and planning; partnerships; corporate restructuring; government relations and other strategic financial issues.
From 1989 to 1993 Kerry was Ministerial Counsellor for Employment, Education and Social Affairs to the Organisation for Co-operation and Development (OECD). In 2005-06 he worked as a Senior Advisor to the Hon. Ross Free Federal Minister for Schools, Vocational Education and Training.
Kerry’s qualifications include a Doctor of Philosophy and Masters of Administration from Australian National University and a Bachelor of Science from the University of Sydney.
Mr Arthur Klioufis
Arthur brings to MTC extensive IT management and strategy experience. During the last 25 years Arthur has managed both the International and Australasian IT operations for numerous Australian and international corporations across multiple market segments in the public arena.
Arthur has developed a speciality in key sectors such as Non Profit, Financial Services, Telecommunications, Health, Building and Advertising to provide cross platform systems integration and consulting services, repeatable solutions in targeted industries, enterprise computing, networking services, outsourcing and managed services.
Currently Arthur owns and operates a facility management company and IT development house which advises company executives and Boards in strategic IT management and services to enterprises including public companies, Universities and schools.
Ms Kim Wilson
Kim is currently the Managing Director of a risk & compliance management solutions provider, Tickit Systems Pty Ltd. Kim has general management experience in the professional services sector and management consultancy experience in the IT industry where clients included Ernst & Young, Arthur Robinson Hedderwicks and Telstra. Kim managed Ernst & Young’s Y2K Project team.
Kim has a LLB from the University of Cape Town and an MBA from Monash University. She has advised a wide range of organizations including Orix (Australia) and Belfinger Berger Services on risk management and the implementation of risk management processes. She brings with her extensive experience in strategic planning, process re-engineering, marketing, information systems, human resources, financial management and credit control.
Mr Don McKenzie
Don has a wealth of consulting and management experience in the services sector, government and not-for-profits. Following more than 30 years experience in manufacturing, consulting and as the Group CEO of a prominent national law firm, Don is now specialising in Executive Coaching and Board Advisory work.
Don was one of the first consultants to join the Australian arm of Arthur Young & Company the international accounting firm (now Ernst & Young) initially involved in establishing the executive selection group in the Melbourne office. He was among the first consulting partners to enter the Arthur Young partnership in Australia and was the youngest partner to do so.
Don left Ernst & Young as a partner in 1991 to join Gadens Lawyers as their Group CEO. He took Gadens Lawyers from a mid-sized firm with four offices to what is now a significant national firm comprising more than 95 partners with offices in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide, Cairns and Port Moresby. When Don retired from Gadens Lawyers it was recognised as a quality law firm with specialised practices in the fields of energy & resources, intellectual property and IT law, insurance law, property and construction law.
Don has a keen interest in the services sector (particularly partnership structures) and in the development of Australia’s future leaders. He consults regularly to large national and international organisations.
Mr Om Dhungel
Om has over 20 years experience working in the public, private and social sectors. His areas of expertise include planning and policy development, training, research & analysis and advocacy.
Om has completed an MBA through the University of Technology, Sydney and currently works as a Senior Competitive Intelligence Analyst for Telstra.
Outside of his regular work, in addition to MTC, Om is actively involved in other community and social work, including:
• President of the Association of Bhutanese in Australia, Sydney (ABA)
• Member, South Asian Community Consultative Reference Panel, currently working on “Under utilisation and under employment of technically skilled and professional migrants from South Asia”
• Member, Amnesty International Australia
• Member, Australian Institute of Management (AIM).
Om is widely travelled particularly in Asia as well as Europe and the United States representing the government of Bhutan and NGOs at various international meetings and conferences including the World Administrative Radio Conference (WARC’92) in Spain and the 1993 World Conference on Human Rights in Vienna.
Mr Harry Freedman
Harry freedman contributes over 22 years of experience in the area of law to the Board of MTC. In 1975 he graduated from Moriah College to then complete a Bachelor of Arts at New South Wales University in 1979 and a Bachelor of Law at New South Wales University in 1983.
In 1973 He was admitted to the High Court and Supreme Court of New South Wales.
Harry has been a Partner at Milne Berry Berger Freedman since 1987; he commenced working at the firm JW Milne Berry in 1985 and became a Junior Partner in 1987 and equal partner a few years thereafter.
He is an Accredited Specialist by the Law Society of New South Wales and an Accredited Mediator Certified by ACDC Mediation. Also a member of the Law Society, Law Council and Family Law Lawyers Association of Australia and Institute of Credit Management
Harry lives is Sydney Australia, is married and have 2 sons both of whom presently attend university
Harry has been on the MTC board for 5 years and is also a member of the remuneration committee.
