MTC nominated for a 2010 Campbelltown City Australia Day Award
MTC was nominated for a 2010 Campbelltown City Australia Day Award in the category of Community Event/Project of the Year. These awards honour local people who contribute to our community across a number areas.
This nomination is for MTC's Minto Access Point (MAP), a technology-based employment and training centre in the Minto housing estate. MAP offers the community free access to technology, employment and career assistance, legal aid, counselling and free training.
Award recipients were announced at a ceremony during the Campbelltown City Australia Day Celebrations in Koshigaya Park, Campbelltown, on Tuesday 26 January 2010. MTC made it to the top four finalists in our category. The award went to The Nagle Centre – Outreach Kitchen, a local food service for disadvantaged community members, based in Campbelltown.
